The Borneo Flora Festival 2025 will take place from 10th August to 17th August 2025. This week-long celebration aligns with Malaysia’s biodiversity month and is strategically planned to welcome tourists, students, researchers, and families during the school break season.
This year’s theme: “Rooted in Heritage, Blooming Towards Tomorrow” reflects both pride and progress. It sets the tone for sustainability and national pride in Borneo’s flora and fauna.
The festival will be held in Labuan, a Federal Territory of Malaysia known for its rich marine biodiversity and close proximity to Borneo’s forest ecosystem. Labuan offers the ideal environment to highlight both land and aquatic biodiversity while being accessible to Malaysians from Peninsular Malaysia and East Malaysia.
The main venue will be at the Kompleks Sukan Laut Antarabangsa Labuan, which will be transformed into an immersive rainforest experience. Guided jungle trails, Rafflesia observation zones, conservation workshops, and night-time bioluminescent forest walks will be part of the program.
